The question of who is the best gamer in the world has been a topic of debate for many months. Some argue that it is the gamer who earns the highest income, while others believe it is the player who excels at the most difficult games. In my opinion, the best gamer is someone who demonstrates skill across a variety of games. To settle this debate, I took it upon myself to organize one of the largest gaming events ever - the World’s Greatest Gamer.
With the support of YouTube Gaming, I gathered some of the greatest gamers in history, boasting a combined total of 20 World Championships. These talented individuals now have the chance to claim the title of the world’s greatest gamer.
The format of the event was designed to narrow down our pool of 19 competitors on day one. We accomplished this by having them compete in four different games, awarding points based on their placements. The point system heavily favors the top performers.
Let’s take a closer look at the impressive lineup of competitors. We have 19 incredible gamers, including multiple TI (The International) winners, several Evo champions, two Overwatch Championships winners, a VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) titleholder, and even Connor Eats Pants, who emerged victorious in a recent arrivals event.
I must mention my appreciation for Rob being a part of this event. Some questioned why he was chosen, but I see it as a unique perspective. It’s like imagining your dad competing in the Olympics. Even if he doesn’t win, there’s still a sense of pride and support for him.
Our first game is Minecraft, featuring a custom map created by a talented team called No Name. This map includes various challenges, such as Spleef, King of the Hill, and a survival games Hunger Games mode. It’s time to see the gamers in action and determine who truly deserves the title of the world’s best gamer!
